Why Infosys is doomed!
Start from the top.
Say Nandan Nilekani
Say Narayan Murthy
Two people I've had the priviledge of meeting face to face, after repeated dreams and constant nailbiting.
They only think urban and western. The fact that their head of consulting has been American, should be an eye-opener in itself.
Contrast this, with the current king of the ring, TCS.
TCS has been constantly sending their employees further and further into the hinterlands, building services which the rural people currently curse, then will feel blessed, like the Passport Seva Kendra.
The fact that the new head of consulting is from a rural area in Goa, shows that the future is rural.
This is a fact which even the colleges fail to understand, even as they see fewer and fewer MNCs entering their hallowed colleges, and more and more enterpreneurship cells get set up in various colleges.
The answer is not just blindly driving students into enterpreneurship.
It's about taking leading stalwarts from the urban space and making them start developing solutions for the rural space.
Think one way roads with traffic signals on Baga road. Think footpaths with built in drainage systems.
Think solar powered houses across main coastal areas.
