Achieving Angels: The Journey Behind the Vision

 

It’s always been about making the complex simple.

At 9, I was playing with motors and batteries — reversing polarity, building boats with lit-up cabins for science projects. Later, I joined the astronomy club, fascinated by constellations.

Mr. Highland made physics magical — like how a drop of hot water is never as hot as a bucket of it.

More than grades, it was curiosity that kept me going. Newspapers over textbooks. Science over cramming.

Junior college brought me to electronics — decoding resistors, soldering circuits.

In engineering, I launched ETC (Etcetera — and yes, I was in BE ETC 😄), a lateral thinking club that showed me where my heart really was: communication. On stage, in front of people — the more, the merrier.

Then came an MBA. Another club. Another platform to help people speak, share, and grow.

My first job at Jataayu Software gave me the chance to teach senior engineers — mobile tech, SMS, voice channels.

One tough test later, the participants thought I didn’t know the answers. I did — and gave them full marks anyway.

In 2006, I spoke at World Usability Day Bangalore on mobile UX — years before UPI, Netflix, or PayTM were even things.

From presenting about jB5 vs Opera Mini, to explaining Twitter to journalists at the Press Club in 2007 — it’s been a ride.

Some sessions clicked. Others were too early. But the goal was always to share what I knew.

Then Goa happened.

Workshops at International Centre Goa. Tiatr meets social media. Building personal brands. Even got a bit of press — maybe because no one thought of digital media as folk theatre before.

A lot of this comes back to one belief:

👉 Goa can be a global talent hub — if we teach.

Not just facts, but the skills that last:

✅ Ask powerful questions

✅ Study deeply — go a mile deep, not just a mile wide

✅ Communicate well — online, on stage, with impact
